29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): Electrical equipment had damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating: a) Grocery Building A Warehouse - On July 28, 2022, the employer did not ensure that all flexible cables were free from damage and recognized hazards that may expose employees to injury. Connector cables on the Crown PE 4500 Series Pallet Walkers were bent and had cuts and damaged to the insulated jacket, exposing live copper wire and internal wires. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
