Employees of JD Construction, Inc. were observed framing a house and using a pneumatic nail gun without the benefit of eye/face protective equipment. 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) On or about July 30, 2022, the employer did not ensure that each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were protected by guardrails, safety nets, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees of JD Construction, Inc., were exposed to fall hazards greater than 9 feet, while engaged in residential framing activities. Employees were not using fall protection equipment. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet"). JD Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1531131, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 30, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 21235 E Stanford Ln . Aurora, CO 80016.
