29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Because of the portable ladder's length, the ladder side rails did not extend to at least 3 feet (.9m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access and the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support. (a) 397 Highway 51, Ridgeland, MS - On or about July 7, 2022, employees were exposed to a fall hazard while climbing the 12 ft. ladder to access the roof that was not secured to the building. (b) 397 Highway 51, Ridgeland, MS - On or about July 7, 2022, employees were exposed to a fall hazard while climbing the 12 ft. ladder to access the roof that did not extend 3 feet above the landing.
