29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or another provision in paragraph (b) of this section which provides for an alternative fall protection measure: (a) On or before August 2, 2022, the controlling employer did not ensure subcontractor employees were protected from injury, in that subcontractor employees setting joists on top of the second level of a new residential home were not utilizing a fall protection system. This condition exposed subcontractor employees to fall hazards ranging from 10 feet of 20 feet. (b) On or before August 2, 2022, the controlling employer did not ensure subcontractor employees were protected from injury, in that subcontractor employees working on the second level of a new residential home were not utilizing a fall protection system. This condition exposed subcontractor employees to fall hazards of 20 feet.
