OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to amputation injuries from improper handling of power tools. a) Star Plastics New Vacuum Area: On or about August 2, 2022 and times prior, an employee used a portable bandsaw to cut flexible tubing for a new vacuum system. The bandsaw was not used in accordance with tool design and manufactures instructions in that the bandsaw was operated with only one hand on the grips.
