29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, the employer did not report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA.  On Monday August 1, 2022 at approximately 2:30 PM, an employee was using a concrete saw when it jumped, causing a deep laceration to the right calf and in-patient hospitalization. The hospitalization was not reported within 24 hours to the local Area Office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Austin Area Office was notified on August 4, 2022 at approximately 9:30 AM.
