29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about August 01, 2021, at the facility, an employee was visually inspecting "grading" onions as the onions ran across a conveyor belt system, wherein the employee reached onto the conveyor belt with her hand to remove and discard a "bad" oinion, during which time the conveyor rollers were not guarded.
