29 CFR 1910.136(a): The employer did not ensure that protective footwear is used where employees are exposed to foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing sole. a) On or about 8/11/2022, in the establishment. An employee working in the yard on an unanticipated work day without supervisory personnel present, the worker operating a 1966 Clark forklift (Model CFY 40 B-29-419) was wearing crocs sandals instead of the employees safety boots which were avaialbe on site. Employee was exposed to struc by hazards and foot injuries due to rocks, metal banding and wooden pallets. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

1910.178(n)(15) While negotiating turns, speed shall be reduced to a safe level by means of turning the hand steering wheel in a smooth, sweeping motion. Except when maneuvering at a very low speed, the hand steering wheel shall be turned at a moderate, even rate. 29 CFR 1910.178(n)(8): Under all travel conditions the truck shall be operated at a speed that will permit it to be brought to a stop in a safe manner: a)On or about 8/11/2022, an unauthorized employee operating a 1966 Clark forklift ( Model CFY 40 B-29-749) on loose gravel did not reduce speed and maneuvered the forklift in a smooth sweeping motion exposing the worker to overturning and crushing hazards. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
