29 CFR 1910.28(b)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee in a hoist area is protected from falling 4 feet (1.2 m) or more to a lower level by one of the systems listed in 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(2)(i)(A)-(C). (a) On or about October 7, 2022, employees performed work activities from an elevated work platform in the milling room that had two unprotected platform edges. These unprotected edges exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet to the lower level.
