29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Agriculture Reference: 1928.21(a)(5))   a) Standlee Ag Resources at Arco Farm: On or prior to August 16, 2022, employees applying herbicides in liquid and pellet form to irrigation canals were not provided effective training on the chemical  and respiratory hazards associated with these herbicides to include but not limited to Aquatic Weed Killer - Xylene-o, Gramoxone and Rondo.   Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.

The employer did not specify the level of respiratory protection required during the application of herbicides according to product Safety Data Sheets.
