29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a. On or about August 17, 2022, at the Amenity building construction site in Tallahassee, Florida: the controlling employer Mad Dog Design and Construction Company, Inc. failed to ensure its sub-contractor Big Hammer, LLC protected its employees from 12-foot fall hazards, in that; employees were allowed to erect and brace roof trusses while standing on the top plates of the walls and / or roof truss components, such as but not limited to web members and bottom chords of the trusses without a fall protection system.
