29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1):Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: Strassell's Machine Inc., DBA Mid-Ohio Hyrdographics located at 188 Central Avenue in Mansfield, Ohio 44905: On or about August 19, 2022 the employer did not ensure the Bosch 4100 Tablesaw was equipped with a hood guard during operation. Employees were exposed to amputation hazards while making rip cuts to 3/8 inch thick plywood with a blade exposed approximately 2 3/8 inches above the wood piece.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(2):Hand-fed ripsaw(s) furnished with a spreader did not have the spreader adjusted to 1/2 inch in back of the saw: Strassell's Machine Inc., DBA Mid-Ohio Hyrdographics located at 188 Central Avenue in Mansfield, Ohio 44905: On or about August 19, 2022 the employer did not ensure the riving knife (spreader) of the Bosch 4100 Table saw was equipped during operation. Employees were exposed to amputation and struck by hazards while making rip cuts in that the riving knife was at its lowest position which would not prevent jamming and increase the chance of kick back.

Employees were exposed to amputation and struck by hazards while making rip cuts to 3/8 inch thick plywood with a blade exposed approximately 2 inches above the wood piece without the use of non-kickback fingers.
