Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. 95 Russell Street, Hadley, MA: On or about August 24, 2022 and at times prior employees were observed working on a residential structure engaged in roofing activities with unprotected sides and edges over 25 feet above the next lower and were not protected by either guard rails, safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems exposing them to fall from height hazards. Juan Garcia dba JC Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1390366, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/19/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 158-162 Church St., Chicopee, MA.
