Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.    On or about August 30, 2022, at jobsite located in 605 Fairview Ave. Elmhurst, IL. 60126, employees were exposed to fall hazards in approximately 13 feet while engaged in residential roofing activities. Fall protection was not being utilized while performing roofing activities. No other form of fall protection was in place.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.  The Gerardo Garcia Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1315532, citation number 1 , item number 2a  and was affirmed as a final order on August 16, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 116 N. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
