29 CFR 1926.651(i)(1): Where the stability of adjoining buildings, walls, or other structures was endangered by excavation operations, support systems such as shoring, bracing or underpinning was not provided to ensure the stability of such structures for the protection of employees. a) Ocnee St. Road Widening Project located in Athens, GA 30605: On or about 08/23/2022, and at times prior, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while installing rebar mats to a bridge retaining wall, in that a support system was not provided to employees engaged in masonry activities under a pre-existing concrete pad.
