29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1):Employees must be able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge. A device such as a panic bar that locks only from the outside is permitted on exit discharge doors. a) The employer fails to ensure effective protection against fire hazards as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about September 01, 2022, at 3649 Victory Drive, Columbus, GA, 31903, when the emergency exit door was kept locked preventing employees from safely exiting the stockroom. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that emergency exits are not locked with keys, tools or require special knowledge to unlock in the event of an emergency. The Dolgencorp LLC was previously cited for a willful - serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.36(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1571861, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 22, 2022 with respect to a workplace located 260 Center Street, Seville, Ohio 44273. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. a) The employer fails to ensure effective protection against struck-by hazards as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about September 01, 2022, at 3649 Victory Drive, Columbus, GA, 31903, when merchandise was stacked above rolltainers in an unstable manner. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that merchandise is not stored on top of the rolltainers in an unsecure manner. The Dolgencorp LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(b) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1550484 , citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on March 18, 2022 , with respect to a workplace located at 2912 N MCVAY DR., MOBILE AL.
