Employees were working in the area of the potential fall or collapse of a partially demolished parking garage and exposed to potential crush and struck by injuries.

29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1):For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section. (a) Steel Valley Contactors, LLC, on or about September 7th, 2022, at the location of 253 Arlington St., Youngstown, OH, 44502: Employees were utilizing heavy equipment and utility vehicles during demolition activities involving silica-containing materials without implementing the appropriate controls specified in table 1 without an exposure assessment.
