29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a. Maintenance Shop - On or about September 6, 2022, the written energy control program did not include specific step by step procedures to control and lockout energy sources for employees who may perform service and maintenance (chain tension adjustments) on the Carney battery changer after machine guarding was removed. Employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with unexpected energization of equipment.
