The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefor, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. (a) On or about September 8, 2022, the employer did not provide point of operation guarding on the Chicago 50-75-ton press brake (rebuilt S/N 7809-771) to prevent exposure to the point of operation during machine cycles. (b) On or about September 8, 2022, the employer did not provide point of operation guarding on the Di-Acro Hydra-Power Press Brake (S/N 6200980229) to prevent exposure to the point of operation during machine cycles.
