29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): The employer shall provide portable fire extinguishers and shall mount, locate and identify them so that they are readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury. On or about September 8, 2022, the employer failed to ensure employees could access fire extinguishers in the stockroom area of the store: a. The fire extinguisher located by the Stockroom shoe door was blocked by a rolling trash can. b. The fire extinguisher located by the Stockroom main door was partially blocked by a racking system.
