29 CFR 1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, form and scrap lumber with protruding nails, and all other debris was not kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs, in and around buildings or other structures: At the Gateway Woods apartment project an employee was exposed to trip hazards and puncture hazards in the following instance: a) At building 5, where piles of boards that had been used as bracing, some with nails sticking up, were strewn around the perimeter of the building, impeding access to and egress from the building.
