Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. Located at 1341 Rapp Street, Lewis Center, OH 43035: On or about September 8, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from falls while performing framing work from the roof of a new build condominium, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards from between approximately eleven to fifteen feet.

The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a. Located at 1341 Rapp Street, Lewis Center, OH 43035: On or about September 8, 2022, the employer failed to ensure that employees were adequately trained on the recognition of fall hazards associated with residential framing work.
