29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(xv): Crossbracing used in place of a midrail was unacceptable because the crossing point of two braces was not between 20 inches (0.5 m) and 30 inches ((0.8 M) above the work platform or as a toprail crossing point of two braces were not between 38 inches (0.97 m) and 48 inches (1.3 m) above the work platform.  The endpoints at each upright were more than 48 inches (1.3 m) apart.  On or about September 19, 2022, and at times prior thereto, an employee was laying cement and bricks from a scaffold where midrails were not used. Crossbracing was between 38 inches and 48 inches, exposing the employee to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet to the ground below.
