29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii):Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. a) On or about September 21, 2022 at the Manda Packing Co LLC, employees were permitted to use the Food Processing Equipment grinding machine with its power cord exhibiting damaged strain relief. Manda Packaging was previously cited for a violation of this occupational Safety and health Standard 1910.305(G)(2)(iii) which was contained in OSHA inspection #1386994 citation 1 item 1 and was affirmed as final order on date July, 15, 2019 with respect to a workplace located at 2442 Sorrel Ave. Baton Rouge, LA 70821.
