29 CFR 1910.110(f)(2)(ii):Containers when stored inside shall not be located near exits, stairways, or in areas normally used or intended for the safe exit of people. a) On or about September 22, 2022, the employer did not ensure propane tanks used to power forklifts were stored away from building exits in that the propane tanks were stored in front of the back dock door next to the back dock garage.

29 CFR 1910.178(f)(2):The storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gas fuel shall be in accordance with NFPA Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases (NFPA No. 58-1969), which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6. On or about September 22, 2022, the employer did not ensure propane fuel tanks were stored in accordance with NFPA No. 58 in that the propane tanks for forklifts were stored indoors and unprotected from physical damage while forklifts were being driven in and out of the warehouse next to them.
