29 CFR 1910.29(b)(3): The employer did not ensure that guardrail systems are capable of withstanding, without failure, a force of at least 200 pounds (890 N) applied in a downward or outward direction within 2 inches (5 cm) of the top edge, at any point along the top rail. a) Ballreich Snack Food Company LLC. On or about September 22nd, at the address of 186 Ohio Avenue Tiffin, OH 44883: The employer did not ensure all components of the guardrail system installed on the seasoning mezzanine along the walkway could withstand a force of at least 200lbs without failure. Employees performing seasoning and cleaning activities atop the mezzanine in this condition were exposed to a fall of 6ft 8 in. to the concrete floor below.
