29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): a) Alabama State Docks Near 1881 Steel Terminal Road: On or about July 15, 2022 and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed his employees to struck-by hazards in that he did not ensure that a powered industrial truck operator using a Taylor Machine Works 65,000 pound capacity forklift, Model # TXI650L, S/N S JG 39015 was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in the standard.
