29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(A): The energy control procedures did not contain a specific statement on the intended use of the procedure: (a) Packaging Area SAPAC Robot - The employer had two different lockout/tagout procedures for the SAPAC robot (FANUC M-410iC 185 robot), and neither procedure contained a specific statement on the intended use of the procedure, exposing employees to hazards such as struck by and caught in associated with unexpected energization or start up, on or about the week of September 26, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.147(d)(4)(i): Lockout or tagout devices were not affixed to each energy isolating device by authorized employees: (a) Packaging Area SAPAC Robot - When cleaning the SAPAC robot (FANUC M-410iC 185 robot) and its operating area, employees opened an interlocked swing or sliding gate in the robot's perimeter cage and applied a lockout lock to prevent the gate from closing, which constitutes locking out using control circuitry, rather than applying lockout to an energy isolating device, exposing employees to hazards such as struck by and caught in associated with unexpected energization or start up, on or about the week of September 26, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
