29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Protection from arc welding rays. Where the work permits, the welder should be enclosed in an individual booth painted with a finish of low reflectivity such as zinc oxide (an important factor for absorbing ultraviolet radiations) and lamp black, or shall be enclosed with noncombustible screens similarly painted. Booths and screens shall permit circulation of air at floor level. Workers or other persons adjacent to the welding areas shall be protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields or shall be required to wear appropriate goggles. a) Fabrication Area, Welding area: On or about On or about October 4, 2022, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to eye injury hazards, in that a welding area was not enclosed with appropriate screens or shields.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment: a) Assembly Area, West Wall: On or about October 4, 2022, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to trip and fall hazards, in that access to the main electrical disconnects for electrical testing equipment was obstructed by a 1-inch, three-phase electrical cables which may delay or prevent isolation of the electrical supply in an emergency involving the electrical equipment.
