29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): location: meat department on or about: 10/2/22 a) Employees were cutting meat with a Biro meat band saw. A push guard for the band saw was not being used, exposing the employees to the hazard of getting cut by the band saw blade. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
