29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11):"Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toe boards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about 10/06/2022, at the Wash Lizard car wash, undergoing renovations located at 1582 Lyell Avenue, in Rochester, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of fall protection. Employees were allowed to install metal roofing panels 16 feet above lower levels with a roof pitch of 6-12 without the use of fall protection. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
