The employer did not assess the work operation to determine the type of chemical-resistant gloves needed based on the concentration of the chemicals used, and did not assess the suitability of the gloves provided in the workplace during those operations. b) Abbatoir Associates, Inc. / Rising Spring Meat Company - 119 Cooper St. Spring Mills PA 16875 - On or about October 6, 2022, employees were not utilizing chemical-resistant gloves when treating the trolleys with chemicals, including, but not limited to, a diluted ZEP Recirculating Detergent. The employer did not assess the work operation to determine the type of chemical-resistant gloves needed, or the need for chemical-resistant gloves, based on the concentration of the chemical used and the suitability of the gloves provided in the workplace. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
