1910.178(n)(1): Where lift trucks are being used, lift truck operators must observe all traffic regulations, including authorized plant speed limits. In addition, a safe distance shall be maintained approximately three truck lengths from the truck ahead, and the truck shall be kept under control at all times. On or about October 5, 2022, a fork truck operator failed to comply with traffic regulations in place at the Company?s Linden New Jersey warehouse when he drove his vehicle at an excessive rate of speed while making a right-angle turn into an aisle where other employees were in the process of moving materials.
