29 CFR  1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent:   a) Finishing Department - On or about October 24, 2022, employees were exposed to continuous noise at 120.4% of the permissible daily exposure of 85 dBA (8-hour time weighted average) or equivalent sound levels of 91.3 dBA during 460 minutes sampling period. The exposure calculation included a zero increment of the 20 minutes not sampled. The employer did not implement a continuing and effective hearing conservation program for employees exposed to potential hearing loss while operating CNC and saw machines.   b) Extrusion Department - On or about October 24, 2022, employees were exposed to continuous noise at 77.3% of the permissible daily exposure of 85 dBA (8-hour time weighted average) or equivalent sound levels of 88.1 dBA during 468 minutes sampling period. The exposure calculation included a zero increment of the 12 minutes not sampled. The employer did not implement a continuing and effective hearing conservation program for employees exposed to potential hearing loss while operating extrusion line.  c) Finishing Department  - On or about October 24, 2022, employees were exposed to continuous noise at 53.8% of the permissible daily exposure of 85 dBA (8-hour time weighted average) or equivalent sound levels of 85.5 dBA during 478 minutes sampling period. The exposure calculation included a zero increment of the 2 minutes not sampled. The employer did not implement a continuing and effective hearing conservation program for employees exposed to potential hearing loss while operating CNC and saw machines.
