29 CFR 1926.651(i)(3): Sidewalks, pavements, or appurtenant structures had been undermined and a support system or another method was not provided to protect employees from the possible collapse of such structures. a) Wishman Ave. Oreland PA Street Sidewalk - On or about October 12, 2022 employees were working in an excavation where soil had been removed from under the concrete sidewalk. The undermined sidewalk did not have a support system to prevent it from collapsing on an employee. b) Wishman Ave. Oreland PA Residence Sidewalk - On or about October 12, 2022 a concrete sidewalk was undermined to install a sanitary sewer below it. The sidewalk did not have a support system to prevent it from collapsing on an employee.
