On or about October 12, 2022, the employer failed to develop a closed piping system that has approved self-closing valves when transferring flammable liquids from one container to the other through the means of gravity for the chemical product Velvacoat AL 7036 Coating IBC716 located in the molding and mixing area when transferring the liquids from the tank or barrel into a bucket or another container. Without the use of a self-closing valve, the flammable liquids can overflow and ignite if they get near a ignition source exposing employees to a fire hazard.
