29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii):Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s) of the hydraulic press: (a) 409 Ono Road, Annville, PA, Tranemo Hydraulmaskiner 100 Ton Hydraulic Press - On or about October 19, 2022 employees conducting press operation at the Tranemo Hydraulmaskiner 100 Ton Hydraulic Press were not protected from crushing hazards due to the hydraulic press not being guarded at the point of operation. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii):Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws on the light curtain: (a) 409 Ono Road, Annville, PA, light curtain on the front upper plate of the Tranemo Hydraulmaskiner 100 Ton Hydraulic Press - On or about October 19, 2022, the flexible electrical cords providing power to the light curtain on both the transmitter and receiver ends was not connected to the fitting so that tension was not transmitted to the terminal screws. Employees were exposed to shock hazard and to crush hazard if the light curtain power became disconnected. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
