29 CFR  1910.1001(m)(5)(i): The employer did not upon written request make all records required to be maintained by 29 CFR 1910.1001 available to the Assistant Secretary and/or the Director for examination and/or copying:  a)  At the sorting and distribution area in the Klamath Falls Post Office, located at 317 S 7th St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601: on or about 11-1-2022 and times prior to, upon written request, the employer failed to provide a copy of all records required to be maintained by this section to the Assistant Secretary and the Director for examination and copying, including but not limited to a copy of survey determining the presence, location, and quantity of ACM and/or PACM at the Klamath Falls Post Office.

29 CFR 1910.1001(k)(1): The employer did not maintain all surfaces as free as practicable of ACM waste and/or debris and accompanying dust:  a)  At the sorting and distribution area in the Klamath Falls Post Office, located at 317 S 7th St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601: on or about and at times prior to 10-19-2022, where floor tiles containing Asbestos were visibly deteriorated and not intact, the employer failed to ensure that the floor and other surfaces in the area were as free as possible of Asbestos containing dust.   The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1001(k)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1537592, citation number 1, item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on 09-14-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 3775 Industrial Blvd, West Sacramento CA 95799.

29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(7)(iv): The employer did not provide to all employees who perform housekeeping work in areas where ACM and/or PACM is present, an asbestos awareness training course covering the requirements in this standard related to housekeeping:    a)  At the sorting and distribution area in the Klamath Falls Post Office, located at 317 S 7th St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601: on or about and at times prior to 10-19-2022, where maintenance /custodial workers perform housekeeping duties where Asbestos containing floor tiles containing Asbestos were visibly deteriorated/and not intact, the employer failed to ensure that the personnel was informed of the specific nature of operations related to housekeeping activities which could result in exposure to Asbestos containing dust, including but not limited to removing and disposing of vacuum's bags containing Asbestos contaminated dust.    b)  At the sorting and distribution area in the Klamath Falls Post Office, located at 317 S 7th St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601: on or about and at times prior to 10-19-2022, where maintenance /custodial workers perform housekeeping duties where Asbestos containing floor tiles were visibly deteriorated/and not intact, the employer failed to ensure that the personnel was informed of the requirements in this standard relating to housekeeping.   c)  At the sorting and distribution area in the Klamath Falls Post Office, located at 317 S 7th St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601: on or about and at times prior to 10-19-2022, where maintenance /custodial workers perform housekeeping duties where Asbestos containing floor tiles were visibly deteriorated/and not intact, the employer failed to ensure that the personnel was informed of the relationship between smoking and exposure to asbestos producing lung cancer.  The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(7)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1537592, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 09-14-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 3775 Industrial Blvd, West Sacramento CA 95799.

The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(7)(v)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1537592, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on 09-14-2022, with respect to a workplace located at 3775 Industrial Blvd, West Sacramento CA 95799.
