OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to burn hazards from approximately 200 degree hot water cleaning solution. (a) On or about October 20, 2022, located in the Sanitation Room, employees performed sanitation dip tank start-up by opening a ball valve to aerate the dip tank. The air pressure introduced to the dip tank from the valve was too high which caused an overflow of its contents exposing the employees to potential severe burn injuries.
