29 CFR 1926.651(i)(1): Where the stability of adjoining buildings, walls, or other structures was endangered by excavation operations, support systems such as shoring, bracing or underpinning was not provided to ensure the stability of such structures for the protection of employees: (a) East side of excavation; On or about October 22, 2022, a retaining wall constructed of 136 precast concrete barrier blocks with a total length of approximately 190-feet and located within 5-feet along the excavation's top opening, was not effectively braced or supported to prevent collapsing onto employees working in the excavation.
