29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: a- 1827 Millcreek Road, Manahawkin NJ: A worker was exposed to head injuries from impact or falling objects when they were not protected by protective helmets or hard hats when performing sheathing installation, and other activities at the worksite, while working beneath workers using unsecured tools, equipment, and materials. Condition observed on or about 10/25/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(16): Portable ladders with structural defects, such as, but not limited to, broken or missing rungs, cleats, or steps, broken or split rails, corroded components, or other faulty or defective components, were not either immediately marked in a manner that readily identifies them as defective, or tagged with "Do Not Use" or similar language, and were not withdrawn from service until repaired: a- 1827 Millcreek Road, Manahawkin NJ: A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 18 feet, when using a portable, aluminum, extension ladder whose factory installed feet were missing and the rungs were visibly damaged and bent. Condition observed on or about 10/25/22.
