29 CFR  1910.151(c):  Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard 5.4.4 The eyewash unit shall be located on the same level as the hazard and the path of travel shall be free of obstructions that may inhibit the immediate use of the equipment.  Retail Store: Restroom:  An employee conducted restroom cleaning operations using corrosive chemicals where an emergency eye wash station in close proximity for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes was missing.   The employer had not placed an eye wash station in the facility.  The employee was potentially exposed to severe eye burns or blindness.
