29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids, or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. At the commercial/ residential building project located at 16000 Ruth Street (MU 3 Project) in Parksville, Missouri, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. Employees engaged in framing activities using pneumatic nailers, Dewalt Saw Saw, and hand tools were exposed to struck-by hazards in that eye protection was not provided. Level Builders had the authority to correct and control the site as they were the General Contractor for the Project.
