29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about 10/27/2022, at an elementary school located at 238 Grand Avenue, Coral Gables, FL, employees were exposed to a 13ft fall hazard while removing roofing material due to the lack of a fall prevention system in place. A1 Duran Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1425364, citation number 01, item number 001, issued on 9/6/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 19148 North Gardenia Avenue, Weston, Florida 33332, which became a final order on 10/1/2019.
