29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. On or about October 31, 2022, throughout the warehouse(s) the employer did not ensure proper securement of material storage. There were several areas that had product leaning/falling off of pallets at grade and at elevated levels on the racking shelves presenting struck-by hazards and tripping and fall hazards. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
