OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by and thermal burn hazards from the use of an improper general-purpose rubber hose for a process outside of manufacturer recommended specifications: a) Production area- Employees working in the area of PTi Extruder roll stands on line 11 were exposed to struck by and thermal burn hazards from the use of a general-purpose rubber hose to supply hot water to the rollers that did not meet the manufacturers recommendations. b) Production area- Employees working in the area of PTi Extruder roll stands on line 19 were exposed to struck by and thermal burn hazards from the use of a general-purpose rubber hose to supply hot water to the rollers that did not meet the manufacturers recommendations. c) Production area- Employees working in the area of PTi Extruder roll stands on line 18 were exposed to struck by and thermal burn hazards from the use of a general-purpose rubber hose to supply hot water to the rollers that did not meet the manufacturers recommendations. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
