29 CFR 1910.9(b): Training on hazards and related matters such as standards requiring employees receive training or that the employer train employees, provide training to employees, or institute or implement a training program, were not provided by the employer to each affected employee in the manner required by the standard. On or about November 08, 2022, employees were exposed to amputation injuries when operating the band saw in the processing room to cut hog carcasses and the employer had not ensured that employees were effectively trained to properly adjust the band saw guard as low as possible for the product size and to adjust as needed throughout the shift.
