29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about October 28, 2022, the employer failed to ensure that some form of effective guarding was being utilized on the YF Super Sealer (Model ET-2A3), to protect employees from hazards such as but not limited to the moving parts and ingoing nip points.  Employees were exposed to hot parts and the embossing roll system, as the sealing area door was not being kept closed and latched while in operation.
