On or about November 11, 2022, the employer exposed employees to slip, trip, fall, and fire hazards within the dock and shipping/receiving/fulfillment departments from wheeled carts, large boxes, and merchandise spread throughout the walking-working surfaces.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Space about electric equipment. Sufficient access and working space shall be provided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment. On or about November 11, 2022, the employer did not ensure that sufficient access and working space were provided and maintained at the electrical equipment, labeled C1 and C2, located in the backroom of the shipping/receiving/fulfillment department. Employees were exposed to electrical and fire hazards from several spools of wire, a bucket of Oil-Dri, a metal pole, and a wooden chair were obstructing access to the electrical panels.

29 CFR 1910.36(g)(2):An exit access must be at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points. Where there is only one exit access leading to an exit or exit discharge, the width of the exit and exit discharge must be at least equal to the width of the exit access. On or about November 11, 2022, the employer did not ensure that the exit access leading to the exit discharge area from the dock, shipping/receiving/fulfillment departments, was the width of the exit access. The path of travel to the emergency exit was obstructed by wheeled carts, large boxes, and merchandise.
