29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  (a) Turner Automotive: On or before 11/15/22 the employer did not ensure that the United States Electrical Tool Co. bench grinder was equipped with a guard covering the spindle end of a wire wheel. This condition exposed employees to rotating parts and ingoing nip points.  Abatement Note: Abatement certification is not required for this item.

Service panels in the GM shop as well as the Toyota shop utilized the areas in front of service panels as storage areas. These conditions exposed employees to electric shock and fire hazards.
